Upcoming Public Workshops

LegalCORPS volunteer lawyers will provide helpful information on small business legal topics at a number of upcoming public workshops:

  • Sat., July 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: "Traps and Pitfalls in Intellectual Property," by patent attorney Roger Belfay at the Small Business Center of the Minneapolis Central Library (300 Nicollet Mall, 2nd Floor).   Get more information, and register for this free workshop, at the Library's site.

Training for Volunteer Lawyers

LegalCORPS is seeking 2.0 hours of regular CLE credit for its May 14, 2008, program -- on starting a business in Minnesota and tax issues for choosing a legal entity for small businesses.

LegalCORPS will seek 3.0 hours of regular CLE credit for its volunteers who attend Roger Belfay's July 26 presentation on "Traps and Pitfalls in Intellectual Property" (see notice above).

Although we have not yet set dates for other no-charge volunteer training sessions, plans are under way for programs on  immigration law basics for advising immigrant entrepreneurs, and on advising nonprofit organizations.

Please check back here for updates.

Volunteers registered with LegalCORPS will receive e-mail updates and mailings about LegalCORPS events. For further information contact info@legalcorps.org or obtain an application from the volunteer section of this website.
